This site looks great in Lynx. It was one of my design goals. The main text (that you’re reading now) shows up first, because I use CSS instead of tables to control the layout of this page. Visually, the navigation bar is first, but structurally, this main text is first. (View Source if you don’t believe me.) Which means that you can start reading what you came for right away, instead of scrolling past all the header and navigation stuff that never changes. (By contrast, reading Scripting News requires me to scroll past 5 pages of links before I get to the actual news, and the text is littered with “[sharpPermaLink3.gif]” and “[leftArrow.gif]” because the images have no ALT tags. And don’t even get me started on Slashdot.)
