CNET: Anti-Unix Web site back online. “An anti-Unix Web site sponsored by Microsoft and Unisys is live again after a lengthy outage that brought glee to Unix and Linux programmers.” It’s not every day you see the word “glee” on CNET. And don’t forget this gem:

Both Microsoft and Unisys have declined to comment on the cause of the outage. It is unknown whether there was a technical problem at the hosting site or whether the site was merely bombarded with requests from IT managers clamoring for copies of the free papers on the site. [emphasis added]

Yup, that’s it, it was all those IT managers clamoring. With glee, no doubt. Happy Friday.
