Filing taxes for two states fucking sucks. TurboTax allows you to electronically file only one state return per federal return. (I’m assuming that this is a regulation outside Intuit’s control, but I’m not positive.) But both North Carolina (where I am now) and Pennsylvania (where I came from last year) require you to e-file your state return along with your federal return. Otherwise you have to file on paper. Which means I have to file my federal return and both state returns on paper, and wait 6-8 weeks for my refund. So much for the Grand Digital Age.
