In the spirit of Michael Barrish’s Mofo, I would like to point out that after almost two months, Google still believes I am the #1 authoritative source on dancing wombats. Personally, I believe that this page demonstrating the GIF Construction Set should be considered authoritative, since it actually features dancing wombats instead of simply quoting them or talking about them in a meta sort of way. Not that I’m complaining. See this? This is me, not complaining. Some aspire to success, others to fame, others simply to notoriety. Further down the scale are “mediocrity”, “subsistence”, and finally, “Google term ownership”. I really need to get out more.
Then again, version 2.1 of MovableType supports the Google API and those ultra-faddish Google boxes. Maybe I’ll set one up to track dancing wombats. And register www.wombatdance.com, with rows of animated GIFs and annoying-but-catchy-in-an-N-Sync-”Bye-Bye-Bye”-kind-of-way background music.
I once found a set of Hamsterdance remixes on Napster. Not just one, but a whole set of them. I miss Napster.
