Mac OS X 10.2 Boot Image Modification. Get the raw happy Mac image. In the long-winded modification instructions, do the Getting Started
bit (to back up your existing files), then skip all the way down to the part about Installing the Boot Image
. (The stuff in between is just for those designing their own icons.) It worked flawlessly for me; I am now the proud owner of a happy Mac-hacked Jaguar-powered Mac. Be aware, though, that not doing it flawlessly will most likely leave you with an unbootable computer. Use at your own risk.
