Patent reversal

Slashdot: W3C Patent Board Recommends Royalty-Free Policy. This is a complete reversal of their previous policy (from last October: W3C Considers Royalty-Bound Patents In Web Standards). Funny how I haven’t seen any mention of this reversal on the Free-W3C mailing list, which was specifically started in response to the W3C’s previous policy.
