Google News to RSS is a brilliant hack, and quite clearly violates Google’s terms of service (no automated querying). Enjoy it while it lasts. They’ll either cut it off, or start charging for news results, or both. (Charging? Yup. Add an email notification service, then go to PR departments/firms and say, Anytime any media outlet in the world mentions your company/product/CEO, day or night, we’ll send you an email within an hour with an executive summary and a link. Sounds like a good business model to me. Or maybe clipping services and other sites like Moreover already provide that level of service, I don’t know.)

Meanwhile, Daypop supports RSS directly. Add &o=rss at the end of any search query to get results in RSS. Example: Daypop RSS feed for Eldred.
