Safari build 60 is out. Many things are fixed. Some things are not yet fixed. Dave Hyatt is hosting a discussion of it.
I have re-tested all of my Safari CSS hacks and found no differences between build 51 and build 60; specifically, the Safari Spacer Hack still works.
Later: I’ve added 13 new test cases to my Safari information page based on tests by David Baron.

They fixed the body id bug which I ran into recently. But they haven’t sorted out the background image position bug I found soon after and reported.

Once they’ve finished the beta period and added tabs, it’ll be a nice little browser. I just hope the rumor isn’t true that it’ll be a pay-for app as iPhoto 2 and iMovie 3 almost were. Sigh.

No way could Safari be a pay app — people don’t pay for browsers in 2003, not even on the Mac.

Re: rounded corners bug. Added, thanks.

Agreed, making it a pay-for application would be daft IMHO, but there are browsers out there that expect payment that don’t do badly — I’m thinking of OmniWeb and iCab.

If you want to compare how b60 handles mark’s examples with a previous version, you can run both versions of Safari at the same time. I’ve renamed the old version Safari v51…
