The Feed Validator, previously located at feeds.archive.org/validator/, now has its own domain: feedvalidator.org. This is hosted on a new server; the old server has been down for days and we have secured new hosting along with the new domain. The migration did not go as smoothly as we had hoped, but the service appears to be functioning correctly. Please report any errors to feed-validator@diveintomark.org.
Some (hopefully short-term) caveats:
Some pages (like the about page) are slightly out of date and will be brought up to date shortly to reflect current conditions. Fixed
- The mailing list (feeds-archive-talk) is still hosted on the old server and is currently unavailable.
Previous downloadable archives of the source code are not available (they were not properly backed up), but the latest version is available. When the old server comes back up, we will try to retrieve the old versions and make them available. Fixed
We will also try to set up a permanent redirect We’ve set up as many redirects as we can without ssh access on the old server, but if you have any scripts, templates, or applications that point to the Feed Validator, now would be a good time to update them. A global search-and-replace from feeds.archive.org/validator to feedvalidator.org should suffice.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for validating.
