![poor tree, we'll probably need to stake it this weekend [freshly planted tree bending during Hurricane Isabel]](http://diveintomark.org/public/2003/09/isabel.jpg)
And you?

“Stake me please!” said the tree, with crunching dirt in its mouth, its face pushed to the ground.

Nothing so bad in the UK right now!

My trees are doing that. And they’re a lot bigger. Nothing against your trees, mind you. But somehow, having a 120-year old sycamore doing that next to your house is a little more unnerving…
Hang in there yourself.
All the best.

nice…I imagine my 100 year old oaks aren’t quite as bent, however – they’re swingin’ a little much for my comfort. that and a wet basement…I’m sufficiently annoyed.
Our tree did that a week ago. Problem was there was no wind around. It was time we killed it anyway.

The storm in on its way to me here in Toronto. I can see the almost-black clouds in the distance. There’s a part of me hoping they completely dissipate and let the sun through before they reach my house. Oh well — looks like I’m in for a day of rain.

Good luck to all of you hit by Isabel …
I’m sitting in inland Europe with a light breeze…
