Just got this in my inbox; you probably did too.

Hi.

I contact you today with a “call-to-arms”. I would like to request your help for a project that picks up the fight against blog comment spam.

You have been “selected” as receipient for this mail because I had the impression that you already are an activist in the fight against blog comment spam. Don’t worry: this is a one-time mail and you won’t receive further mail from me regarding this project if you don’t ask for it.

Ahem:

ONE_TIME_MAILING (2.3 points) BODY: “one time mailing” doesn’t mean it isn’t spam

This is a real project, by the way, to combat the rising tide of weblog spam. It’s open source and everything. No linky love, though; I don’t play well with anti-spammers who spam me.

Update: Oh sweet Jesus, for some reason I scrolled down and read the rest of the email. Would you believe, it’s not just anti-spam spam (spam spam spam)… it’s a chain letter too!

Do you know other people this project might be interesting for? I’d be happy if you could help to spread the word by forwarging [sic] this e-mail to them.

Yes, thank you, that’s exactly what I’m going to do, is forwarg your e-mail on to all my weblogging friends. Because, you know, we don’t have any other way to communicate with each other.
