In July 2006, my father traveled to Pamodzi, a small village in Zambia, Africa. (He builds houses with Habitat for Humanity.) The first picture shows the school from the outside. The second shows the children sitting against the wall of the school. The third shows a child at the blackboard. According to the only non-English word on the board, the lesson of the day is “Hisabati” — Swahili for mathematics.
Of all the photos he’s brought back from around the world, I’ve always liked this set the best.

Very moving shots!
But isn’t it better to build them in the shade sheltered by one of the trees?
